2019

  • CCA and Jeenee Mobile received The Zero Project international award for their outstanding development and use of technology for people with living with a disability.

2018

  • Dr Robin Way received the Trevor Parmenter Life Time Achievement Award from Sydney University’s Centre for Disability Studies (CDS) for her body of work in and lifetime commitment to champion people with a disability to experience a full and inclusive life.

  • CCA met the requirements of the Attendant Care Industry Standard (ACIS) 2018 for icare, formerly known as LTCS.

  • CCA achieved registration as an NDIS provider and Continuity of Supports Program.

2015   

  • CCA achieved registration as a Community Housing Provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing. CCA commenced registration to be a provider of services for National Disability Insurance Scheme.

2014   

  • CCA received Third Party Verification for the NSW Disability Service Standards 2012. CCA was registered as meeting the requirements of the Attendant Care Industry Standard (ACIS) 2013.

2013   

  • CCA launched our Jeenee Mobile Division. Jeenee Mobile was a not for profit Australian telecommunications company, established to Make A Difference in people's lives. A specialist in providing safety, security and peace of mind to those who need extra support, Jeenee Mobile also specialised in providing mobile services with loads of value to those who want to Make A Difference.

2012   

  • CCA received the NSW Disability Industry Innovation Award.

2008   

  • CCA remained an accredited provider of services under the NSW Disability Services Standards for Ageing Disability and Home Care services. The organisation was also certified against the Attendant Care Industry Management System Standard 2008.

2007   

  • CCA received accreditation and certification to provide services through the LifeTime Care & Support (LTCS) Scheme.

2005   

  • CCA received the Access Award from City of Ryde.

  • CCA received accreditation to provide both Home Care Services and Attendant Care Program, both funded through the NSW government.

2001

  • Our name changed to Community Connections Australia to better reflect the values that drives service delivery.

1992

  • Our Home and Community Support Service started operations as one of the first organisations to start providing in-home care for people wanting to purchase a range of support services to remain living in their own home.

1991

  • The Centre for Training and Community Development (CTCD) was established as a joint venture with Macquarie University in training people to work in the Disability Sector. This grew into CCA becoming a major provider of training and consultancy services for people living with disabilities, staff working in the sector and organisations requiring expertise in service delivery problems and/or governance issues.

1987

  • CCA was established as Residential Care Inc in 1987 as part of the reform stemming from the Commonwealth Disability Services Act 1987. The organisation was funded by the NSW government as a demonstration pilot to close a number of institutional settings and to support people to move into their own homes and lives with varying levels of support. To this day we still provide services to a number of this original group of people.
