CCA’s Basic First Aid and CPR Training

CCA recently provided our staff with First Aid & CPR Training which was provided by FirstAidPro Australia, delivering 5 hours of face to face training for a range of accidents, injuries, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Stroke and CPR.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work proactively with the people we support, to develop and implement programs that will assist them to make decisions affecting their lives, live independently and participate in their community.

  • Foster and encourage the people we support to develop personal, social and community relationships.

  • Assist those we support by developing safe and healthy personal care routines (inc. eating, dressing, toileting and bathing).

Role Requirements

  • A positive attitudes towards working with people with disabilities and their families.

  • A ‘person-centred’ approach to customer service.

  • Be motivated to explore options that will help people living with disabilities have the same opportunities, control and high expectations that you have for your life.

  • Be responsible, dedicated and enjoy a rewarding career in the disability sector.

  • Maintain a ‘can-do’ attitude and a professional approach to working as part of a team.

  • Display effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills highly regarded.

  • Hold a current NSW drivers licence (unrestricted) and access to a reliable vehicle.
